Teeth Cleaning

Services

No matter how disciplined you are with brushing and flossing at home, hidden soft plaque eventually hardens into tartar (calculus). Once it attaches to your teeth and along the gumline, a standard toothbrush can’t remove it.

At Elite Dental, we offer hygiene care designed around your comfort. Regular teeth cleanings in Quesnel help protect your enamel, keep your gums firm, and help address dental issues early. Schedule your next appointment today.

What Happens During a Dental Cleaning

We keep your appointment as simple and efficient as possible. Here’s what to expect during a dental cleaning in Quesnel:

Tartar & Plaque Removal: Using ultrasonic tools and fine hand instruments, we lift away hardened tartar deposits from every area of your mouth.
Polishing & Flossing: A gentle polish removes surface stains from daily eating. Then we follow with a deep floss to clear out leftover grit.
Fluoride Protection: If needed, we apply a quick fluoride varnish to help remineralize weak enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity.

Benefits of Professional Teeth Cleanings

Keeping up with cleanings helps:

Stop Gum Disease Early: Clearing away bacterial buildup helps prevent simple gum inflammation (gingivitis) from turning into permanent bone loss around your teeth.
Catch Small Issues Early: We get a clear look at your teeth so we can address hairline cracks, early decay, or worn fillings before they turn into toothaches.
Maintain Fresh Breath: Cleaning out trapped bacteria under the gumline helps address the source of persistent bad breath.

How Often Do I Need a Dental Cleaning?

For most kids, adults, and seniors, a checkup and cleaning every 6 months keeps everything on track.

That said, oral care isn’t one-size-fits-all. If you build up tartar quickly, are recovering from gum disease, or deal with dry mouth, we might suggest coming in every 3 to 4 months to help keep your gums healthy and stable.

Tooth Fillings

When minor tooth decay or small fractures occur, natural-looking tooth-colored (composite) fillings restore both the structure and strength of your tooth while blending naturally with your natural smile.

Tooth Extractions

When a tooth is too severely damaged, decayed, or compromised to be saved, a gentle extraction removes the problematic tooth to protect your oral health.

Sports Mouth Guards

Custom-fitted athletic mouthguards protect your teeth, gums, and jaw from potential impacts during sports and recreational activities. Designed for a precise fit, they offer reliable protection without restricting breathing.

Dental Crowns

A crown is a protective cover for a tooth that has suffered extensive decay, cracking, or structural damage. Custom-fabricated to match your natural tooth shape, it helps restore your biting function.

Dental Bridges

If you are missing one or more adjacent teeth, a custom dental bridge can fill the gap. Anchored securely to neighbouring natural teeth or implants, bridges help restore your oral function.

Teeth Bonding

Dental bonding uses a tooth-colored composite resin to repair minor imperfections such as small chips, gaps, or spots of discoloration. It is a conservative option that usually requires minimal tooth preparation.
